Christina Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980, in Staten Island, New York. Christina always wanted to be a singer. Aged 12, she was invited to audition for MMC. She got the part and stayed there for a few years, until the show ended. In 1999, she had a breakthrough hit, "Genie in a Bottle". She has made millions of fans since then and has sold millions of albums. She won a Grammy Award for best new female artist.
