Katie Holmes was born on December 18, 1978. She is an American actress, best known for her role in the tv teen drama Dawson's Creek. She starred in various teen movies (Disturbing Behavior, Teaching Mrs Tingle) and more recently in Batman Begins. In 2005, she began a publicized relationship with Tom Cruise and, although she was raised as a Roman Catholic, joined the Church of Scientology. The couple have a daughter, Suri.
