Martina Hingis was born on September 30, 1980. She is now a retired pro tennis player, former world number one and winner of five Grand Slam singles titles and nine Grand Slam women's doubles titles. She had to withdraw temporarily from tennis in 2002 because of injuries and returned to the tour in 2006, climing back to world number 6. On November 1, 2007, Hingis announced her retirement while admitting testing positive for cocaine during Wimbledon in 2007. She denied using the drug.
