Uma Thurman was born on April 29, 1970. She left school at 15, already determined to become an actress. Her breakthrough role came when she played Cecile de Volanges in Dangerous Liaisons. After that, she played in the Quentin Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction, for which she earned an Oscar nomination. Also with Tarantino, she starred in Kill Bill.
